The last quarter of 2023 had been A24 horror film adjacent to say the least. Luckily, within the darkness is light in human form thanks to Rain Dove. Popularly known for their work as a model and activist , Rain most recently used their platform to show the world that Non Binary people shouldn’t be discouraged from helping Palestinians because of comments made about Queer people being killed for providing aid in Islamic territories.

Not only did Rain Dove travel overseas for a full month to make the effort to help, but they were met love with grace and love along the way.

“From hospitals to temporary camps we visited hundreds of Gazan Palestinian people over there weeks. I and other members served as openly Queer LGBTQ+ wearing a pin or flag as well as introducing our identities along with our names. No one killed us, shamed us, or harmed us. We survived.”

Rain posted a number of photos and stories on social media showing their followers what the queer experience giving aid to Palestinians actually looks like. Rain and their colleagues who also varied in gender, ethnicity and sexuality did an amazing job spreading love and aid to everyone in need.

Their story is beautiful and we hope to see more awareness and less hate being displayed moving forward. Congrats again to Rain Dove on being brave and providing aid to so many people in need during a time that is so clearly the worst in their lives.
